Privacy Policy
This policy describes how CalXd handles account, nutrition, activity, and billing data needed to operate the app.

Information We Collect
CalXd may collect account information, nutrition log entries, barcode scans, uploaded meal photos, subscription records, and support messages needed to operate the service. If you opt in to Apple Health activity tracking, CalXd also reads Active Energy, steps, and workout summaries. Raw Apple Health samples remain on your device. With your separate in-app consent, CalXd sends only daily activity aggregates, source category, freshness, calculation confidence, and the resulting daily nutrition target to its cloud service.
How We Use Information
Data is used to authenticate users, process meal logging workflows, calculate and explain nutrition targets, support subscriptions, maintain service security, and provide customer support. Optional Apple Health activity data is used only to personalize your daily calorie and macronutrient target and show the calculation inside CalXd. CalXd does not use Health data for advertising, tracking, marketing, AI prompts, or analytics, and does not send Health values to crash reporting.
Sharing and Retention
CalXd shares data only with service providers required to operate the relevant feature, including Supabase for account and consented cloud data and Stripe for subscription billing. Stripe does not receive Apple Health data. Daily Health activity aggregates are retained for up to 90 days. Health-derived daily targets may be retained with your nutrition history until you disconnect Apple Health or delete your account. A minimal consent and withdrawal record may remain where needed for legal or security obligations.
Apple Health Control and Your Choices
Apple Health integration is optional and manual calorie targets remain available. CalXd asks for in-app cloud-processing consent separately from Apple's Health permission. You can pause target adjustment, revoke Health access in iOS Settings, disconnect inside CalXd, export the stored consent record, aggregates, and target calculations, or request account deletion. Disconnecting stops reads and deletes CalXd's Health aggregates and Health-derived targets; changing the iOS permission alone does not delete cloud data. Data written to Apple Health by Garmin or another source remains controlled by that app and Apple Health.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal data and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it. Use CalXd's export and account controls or contact support through the app to exercise these rights.

The one-time calorie calculator processes food descriptions through AI, stores a hashed abuse-prevention identifier, and does not retain the text of your food description after the estimate is returned.
